What is ECONYL?

ECONYL is a revolutionary material developed by the Italian company Aquafill. It transforms synthetic waste from oceans and landfills into high-quality nylon yarn. This process involves collecting, cleaning, and shredding waste, then depolymerizing it to extract nylon. The result is a sustainable yarn that is as strong and durable as virgin nylon but far more eco-friendly. By choosing ECONYL, we contribute to a closed-loop system that minimizes environmental impact.

Meet our Founder

My name is Thalia, and Ozalée Beachwear is more than a brand to me – it’s an incredible journey. Growing up on an island, swimwear has always been part of my life. But for years, I struggled to find a swimsuit that truly made me feel good – comfortable, elegant, and made to last.
After the lockdown, I had to let go of another project I cared deeply about, but that period also gave me the chance to rethink my dreams. That’s when the idea for Ozalée came to life: to create swimwear for women everywhere, designed to flatter their figures and inspired by the gentle, luminous lifestyle of Mauritius.
Launching this brand wasn’t easy. I started from scratch, with no experience in fashion or production, but with a clear vision and determination. Every design, every detail has been carefully thought out, inspired by those moments when we feel our best – under the sun, by the water, with a sense of freedom and joy that only nature can bring.
Today, I’m proud to share Ozalée with you. My goal is simple: to help every woman who wears one of my swimsuits feel beautiful, confident, and connected to herself. And through my creations, I hope you can feel a touch of the magic and serenity of Mauritius, the place where it all began.
